Ms. Jaswal's contributions to the committee!

Ms. Jaswal gave us a few wonderful and great ideas! Here are the two ideas she gave us:

1. Caught Being Green - if you saw somebody caught being green, then you must give them a candy.

2. Bake Sale to sponsor an animal - sell food to sponsor an animal (per month).

Great idea's I want to do both but they may require more talking and planning, I am ready to do what eevery you ask me to do and am ready to help any way i can

Can members of the eco club be caught being good or do we catch being good

I think about the bake sale we should also sell juicepaks or pop cans which will help us to sponsor a animal per month[/img]

we can do that! but where are we going to get the money from because i dont think that the school is willing to donate like a lot of money just for a bake sale. but its still a good idea

midhaat: it is a good idea, but we dont know if the office wants to buy pop for us...i was thinking that the FS students in grade 8 can all bake something for the bake sale...any thoughts?

I think thats a good idea but the Fs students are not ready to bake that much and are not that good YET, I think we should talk to miss Waren and get students who are actuly good at cooking

i think that the rest of the grade 8 class learned how to cook at least one type of food (accept for 8A because they missed a lot of DT and FS classes). why dont we let them cook and let it also count for marks?

Miss Jaswal, the problem is we are in third term and wed only have 3 months left I think we should get started right away, as always i am ready to help in any way i can

that is because we keep wasting time (thats one of da y i wanted to boot u off from president) and u said that we should get going rite away. y dont we talk with ms warren after our next meeting?

umair: david has a point in that. he told me everything before i became supervisor of the committee. i do think that we should get going ASAP.

Yeah we are doing the bake sale on april 24th though it is not confirmed

How should we start prepairing for the bakesale like on Monday, I think aside form the food we may need to think about posters, we have some great artist and when should we start cooking

im not sure when should we start cooking, but perhaps soon or after our next meeting

One question about the caught being green why do we have give that person a candy
I think that we should note which person is caught a being green and from what class the class with the most caught being green students gets a certificate of the most litter less class of the month\year and there will no money wasted to buy candy.

midhaat, we dont want to give out certificates because thats wasting paper

also, nobody would want to carry a bag of candies everywhere because:

-people may steal them if he/she with the candies did not realize
-teachers might wonder why
-you need to carry one extra thing to class (especially if you are on rotary in the morning/afternoon)
-you have an added responsibility that if you lose all the candies, you need to pay for them

Midhat David has a point Lets stick with the orignal idea

But still if we give out the certificates that will save at least money

i disagree, because i think that we wasted enough paper, and we should use less paper

but david if we waste paper then we don't have to pay money for candy
